Monteverdi Tuscany

  • 7 Rooms, 16 Suites

Celebrated in many Renaissance paintings, the iconic landscape of the Val d’Orcia is a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site, characterized by hypnotizing hills topped by fortified communities.

Against the backdrop of a quintessential Tuscan landscape between Rome and Florence, Monteverdi is located in a Medieval village and features ancient buildings, lush gardens, and lingering green spaces. Monteverdi is the fusion of Tuscany’s past, its modernity, and you -- where every step is steeped in the rich history and character of the rolling fields, the vineyards, the art and architecture, the food and wine, a life well lived.

Our exclusive accommodations – 20 rooms and suites and 3 Private Village Houses – will embrace you with sophisticated comforts, seclusion, and tranquility. A design dialogue between nature and contemporary style, these spaces aren’t places to simply lay your head down, but creative retreats to lose yourself in. This meticulous restoration, led by designer Ilaria Miani, features reclaimed materials, bespoke furniture and handmade linens to create a feeling of approachable luxury. Rich in history and character, each room is a uniquely designed slice of Tuscan lifestyle.

Our newly expanded Spa and Wellness Center pulls inspiration from Tuscany, with its original stone and reclaimed materials and its aromatic atmosphere from natural herbs, with state-of-the-art regenerative medicine led by a licensed physician to promote a lifestyle of balance and harmony.

Every bite, every ingredient, every sip is a love letter to Italy. Our executive chef, Giancarla Bodoni, leads a team that will take you into a state of sensorial appreciation for all that is good in food and wine at the heart of Tuscany. Be taken by Giancarla and her team’s immaculate focus on seasonality, which invites our guests to eat regional specialties in harmony with that season’s natural bounty. Here, every meal is an invitation to be transported to a place where memories, conversations, and quiet glances of deep appreciation flow abundantly.

Infused into the village’s historic school house building and surrounded by our private garden, the Culinary Academy serves as an intimate backdrop for enriching conversation and immersive culinary experiences. Enjoy gastronomic conversation and instruction while creating Tuscan classics
during cooking classes or experience our Chef’s Table featuring seasonal multicourse menus and world class wine.

Located in one of the village’s oldest buildings, the former parish house, the new Meeting & Retreat center can play host to exclusive conclaves encouraging dialogue and discourse. Featuring abundant natural light, inspiring views of Monte Cetona and a pure monastic design, the Meeting and Retreat center is comprised of three multifunctional rooms and an Arena with direct access to our Culinary Academy and Garden. Each space has been dynamically designed to fit a variety of occasions making it the ideal setting for conferences, seminars, product launches, workshops, retreats, private events and cocktail parties.

The ticket fee? An open mind and a desire to cultivate. We do what Tuscany always has -- inspire the heart and mind with world class art. Art that takes you to a new appreciation
of beauty.
