The Hoxton, Downtown LA

  • 174 Rooms

The Hoxton is a series of open house hotels with everything you need, and nothing you don’t. We’re inspired by the diversity and originality of the streets and scenes that surround us, born out of a singular purpose to make every neighborhood we are in a better place to be.

We’re located in the heart of Downtown LA with amazing views of the old movie theaters and stores along Broadway. The Hoxton is housed in the historic Los Angeles Transit Building, originally completed in 1922 by the Los Angeles Railway Corporation. They’re responsible for the famous yellow streetcars that rolled along the Downtown streets.

The gorgeous Beaux Arts building has been fully restored with a rooftop bar and pool, restaurants, bars, coffee shop, meeting spaces, and 174 comfy bedrooms.

Our cleverly designed rooms come with everything you need for a comfy stay, plus Hox Perks that include a light breakfast bag, free WiFi, and international calls.

The Hoxton, Downtown LA will feature 174 bedrooms. Hints of Beaux Arts-influenced design can be seen in the chevron floors and wall panels, while the Mexican-inspired rugs and tiles are a nod to the area’s Latino connections. A palette of muted tones is used throughout, punctuated by bold patterns and colors, courtesy of House of Hackney pillows, pink marble tables, and artwork and ceramics direct from East London.

There’s the lobby restaurant for all-day drinking and dining, plus laptop
tables to go with your latte. Hungry? There’s a seasonal menu available for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. Our basement hideout serves up cocktails, beer and wine ‘til the early hours.

If you fancy a little of the famous California sunshine, snag a seat at our rooftop restaurant or bar. The space offers unobstructed views of the LA skyline and sun loungers to while away the afternoon.

Head to the top and you’ll find our rooftop, boasting pinch-me views of LA and open-air drinking and dining all year ‘round. At the center of it all is the pool surrounded by sun chairs and loungers for topping up that tan. With overhanging olive trees, mid-century design details, and a terrazzo bar, the space sings with laid-back Californian cool. Don’t like to share? Our rooftop can be booked for private events – just ask!

On the second floor, you’ll find our innovative meetings and events space, featuring five rooms, each individually designed and all with great views of Downtown LA.

A shared pantry packed with goodies acts as a welcoming breakout space. And each room includes free WiFi, printing, AV, tea, coffee, and yummy snacks. Too easy! Wallet-friendly menus are also available for a bit extra.
